And We Are Back! :) Conversation THIS SUNDAY with KAEF and The Mauritanian!

Dearest Friends,

Al salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatohu! I first must thank everyone for their prayers and kind messages as we have been struggling with illness in these past ten days or so that we went offline. Alhamdulillah, we are finally emerging out of the woods of darkness and Dr. Abou El Fadl is on the mend. I am very happy to report that we will be holding our virtual khutbah today and Project Illumine halaqa tomorrow! Yay!!!

In addition, THIS SUNDAY AT 2 PM ET, Dr. Abou El Fadl will be taking part in a very special conversation with Guantanamo survivor Mohamedou Ould Slahi, the author of Guantanamo Diary, which was made into the movie titled, "The Mauritanian," released in 2021. They will be speaking about Islam, Beauty and Justice. Here is the flyer:

It will be live-streamed on YouTube and recorded. For more information, go here. It should be fabulous!

I'm going to keep it short today. Once again, thank you to everyone for their most touching support and prayers. My apologies for delays in responding to messages and emails. We appreciate your kind patience and understanding as we try to catch up on the mountain of demands that accumulated while we were offline. Wishing you joy and blessings in these last days of summer!

In Peace and Hope,
Grace
