Project Illumine: Surah 52 Al Tur

In the first official session of Project Illumine: The Light of the Quran, Dr. Khaled Abou El Fadl presents his personal journey with the Quran. Dr. Abou El Fadl has spent the last thirty years building a relationship with the Quran - reading every tafsir he could find and spending countless hours and nights in dhikr (the remembrance of God). In this series, he shares his conviction that every chapter of the Quran has a unique moral message that the early Muslims understood in a way that modern Muslims have lost. He reinvigorates our understanding of God's word and message of the Islamic faith by delving into the deeper meanings of the Quran. He discusses chapter 52, Surah al Tur.

Part 2: Dr. Khaled Abou El Fadl continues his Quranic commentary of Surah 52 Al Tur, delving into the deeper meaning of the chapter from his lifelong journey with the Quran. This is not the traditional line-by-line approach of Quranic commentaries (tafsir), but an exposition of the unique message of each chapter of the Quran as its own distinct part of a whole.

Part 3: Dr. Khaled Abou El Fadl answers questions on his Quranic commentary of Surah 52 Al Tur.
